Default Select/Highlight Color

Posted by jeffhobbs on July 6, 2007

Is it just me or do others find it really annoying that when you load a feature class into the legend, sometimes it will default to the same color that is used to highlight a feature in the Map Window (the lime-green color by default)? Why would you EVER want to have the legend entry the same color as your lime-green select color? I mean, if they’re the same, how will you ever know when the feature is selected?

This sounds like a good change request to make: When you load a feature class into the legend, NEVER use the same color that’s assigned to Tools > Options > Map Display > Select Color.

Back to work…
